MAME Arcade Machines
JOYSTICKS Movie

My name is John Dondzila.
When I'm not writing video games
I work as a Technician servicing arcade games and
pretty much anything else amusement related (including rides).

I used to collect arcade machines, however I sold off my
collection because I just didn't have enough time (or space !)
to dedicate to the hobby.

I've been around video games since 1976 and I could ramble
on for hours about my adventures in the commercial and home
gaming world. I like them all, but I'll always be most fond
of the classics.

BACK BEFORE THEY WERE CLASSICS

Even back in my youthful days I
enjoyed programming computers. While I spent many hours in
Radio Shack playing with their TRS-80's, the first computer
which I owned was a Commodore VIC-20. I wrote many games and
a small California company picked up 3 of my games and marketed
them in a package called SPACE PAK. While I had a 2 year royalty
contract, I only saw money for about 6 months but it was pretty
good money and kept me in Scotch and Scones for awhile. I later
published a type in program for the VIC-20 called COLORBOT.
This was featured in COMPUTE! magazine as seen in the above
pictures. You can click the images for a bigger view. I only
have 2 pages scanned, I'm not sure what became of the others.
